Supplying Gases

Helium

Helium (He) is a light, inert, non-toxic, non-flammable noble gas that is a by-product of natural gas extraction, with its origins in the radioactive decay of elements like uranium and thorium. It is crucial for applications like MRI magnets, fiber optics, and cryogenics due to its extremely low boiling point. Helium is categorized into various grades based on its purity, with Grade 4.0 (99.99% pure) being a common standard, and its commercial value depends on its extraction from natural gas sources with sufficient concentrations

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is the simplest and most abundant chemical element (H₂), a colorless, odorless, flammable gas that can be used as a clean energy source and versatile fuel. It plays a key role in India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to develop a global hub for its production and use to meet the country’s energy and climate goals by 2030.

LPG Gas

LPG is Liquefied Petroleum Gas, a mixture of propane and butane derived from natural gas and crude oil. It is kept in a liquid state under moderate pressure for easy storage and transport, and it vaporizes into a combustible gas for use as a clean fuel in homes and industries. Common uses include household cooking, power generation, and as a fuel for vehicles.

DA

In gas cutting, DA stands for Dissolved Acetylene. It is a highly flammable fuel gas, dissolved in a solvent like acetone or DMF, that produces the hottest known flame when mixed with oxygen. This high-temperature flame is used to preheat metal for cutting and, when combined with a high-pressure stream of pure oxygen, to oxidize and remove the metal, facilitating the cutting process.

Ammonia

At Murugan Speciality Gases, we supply high-purity Ammonia Gas that meets the demanding standards of industrial, chemical, and research applications. With over 35 years of experience in gas handling and distribution, we ensure consistent quality, reliable delivery, and safety you can trust.

Ammonia (NH₃) is a colorless gas with a sharp, pungent odor, widely used in refrigeration, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment. It is composed of nitrogen and hydrogen, making it an essential compound in both industrial and environmental processes.
